St. Gertrude the Great

Prayer of St. Gertrude the Great

For all Souls in Purgatory

“Eternal Father,

I offer thee the most precious blood of thy divine son, Jesus,

in union with the masses said throughout the world today,

for all the holy souls in purgatory,

For sinners everywhere,

For sinners in the Universal Church,

Those in my own home and within my family.”

Amen

Imagine all those people over thousands of years that have passed from this world without accepting Christ in their life.  Pray for those that did not believe, did not know, did not love God.  Saying this prayer releases 1,000 souls from purgatory each time it is said.  This is the instruction given by God to St. Gertrude.

While we can, we pray for those that have long been forgotten.  I don’t believe I have a straight ticket to heaven so any prayers I get are gratefully received.  I pray for my loved ones that have passed on as well as those I never met but wait in hope.
